NHS contractual arrangements until the end of 2021

Dear colleague, Please take the time to review the 'Next steps to support the recovery of NHS dentistry' document published yesterday by NHS England. It outlines the contractual requirements under which NHS dental practices will operate until the end of the year. The key messages are as follows:

  • There will be ongoing contractual protection for practices unable to deliver their full contractual activity between October 2021 and December 2021

  • Clawback will not be applied to practices delivering at least 65% of their contracted UDAs and 85% of their contracted UOAs

  • During this time period (Q3) the adjustment made to payment for activity not delivered will be reduced from 16.75% to 12.75% for general dental contract holders

Kind regards, Clint Foreman Asst. Secretary of the Essex LDC
