Essex LDC and BDA Essex Branch Study Day

Some people had difficulty accessing the booking system, and the BDA responded with the following information:

We appreciate the feedback on the booking system and we always look at ways to improve it. In terms of online bookings the event page prompts the delegates to click on the ‘book now’ button and then insert their usual BDA username and password (you don’t need to be a BDA member to create log in details to book online) and then it automatically adds the event details on to the delegate’s basket.For LDC members the online system won’t recognise that the delegate is an LDC member and will automatically charge them the non member fee, which is why we have the option to email us or call us instead. There is also the usual booking form under ‘more information’ on the event page. And there is always the option to call or email for everyone and we are more than happy to guide delegates through the process if necessary.

East of England Level 2 Oral Surgery Accreditation

Expressions of Interest

The Regional Chief Dental Officers, NHS England - East of England Region and Chairs of the local Oral Surgery Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) are pleased to invite applications for Level 2 Accreditation in Oral Surgery, which will allow successful performers to work in appropriately commissioned dental services across the region. Level 2 Accreditation follows a national process under the governance of NHS England and involves a clinical assessment which is undertaken by the Oral Surgery MCN Chairs. Therefore, we are pleased to attach the National Guidelines for Accreditation of Performers of Level 2 Complexity Care of May 2019 (Gateway Ref: 08479) and the East of England Regional Application Pack – 2025, along with a Level 2 Application Form, Application checklist and Reference Form.Please note that no interviews will be held since Level 2 Accreditation is purely evidenced based. Therefore, all applicants are urged to follow the instructions carefully to ensure their submission is complete, in the correct format, relevant to oral surgery delivery only, sufficiently evidenced and supported by referees who are either on the GDC Oral Surgery Specialist Register, Consultant Oral or Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.The attached Application and Reference Forms should be completed and emailed together with the portfolio of clinical evidence specified no later than 16^th November 2025 to: england.eastdentallpns@nhs.net
