Essex Dental Trauma Pathway
A local pathway has been established in Essex in 2021 so that patients can receive effective and timely advice and treatment for dental trauma across the patch, 7 days a week. The new pathway will act as a conduit to give clinicians and patients access to dental trauma management expertise that will be delivered by advanced practitioners in general practice and secondary care.
If you are a clinician with a patient in need of urgent dental trauma care, please call the 'Trauma Hotline'. You will find this number in the April 2021 Newsletter or Essex LDC Spring 2021 Meeting Minutes.

COVID-19 Vaccinations for Staff in General Dental Practice

Water Fluoridation Programmes
In February 2021, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care addressed Parliament with his paper entitled 'Integration and Innovation: working together to improve health and social care for all', in which it is stated that 'we will be streamlining the process for the fluoridation of water in England'. This heralds a new era of de-restriction of water fluoridation programmes in England.
