East of England Level 2 Oral Surgery Accreditation
Expressions of Interest
The Regional Chief Dental Officers, NHS England - East of England Region and Chairs of the local Oral Surgery Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) are pleased to invite applications for Level 2 Accreditation in Oral Surgery, which will allow successful performers to work in appropriately commissioned dental services across the region.
Level 2 Accreditation follows a national process under the governance of NHS England and involves a clinical assessment which is undertaken by the Oral Surgery MCN Chairs. Therefore, we are pleased to attach the National Guidelines for Accreditation of Performers of Level 2 Complexity Care of May 2019 (Gateway Ref: 08479) and the East of England Regional Application Pack – 2025, along with a Level 2 Application Form, Application checklist and Reference Form.
Please note that no interviews will be held since Level 2 Accreditation is purely evidenced based. Therefore, all applicants are urged to follow the instructions carefully to ensure their submission is complete, in the correct format, relevant to oral surgery delivery only, sufficiently evidenced and supported by referees who are either on the GDC Oral Surgery Specialist Register, Consultant Oral or Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
The attached Application and Reference Forms should be completed and emailed together with the portfolio of clinical evidence specified no later than 9th May 2025 to england.eastdentallpns@nhs.net
