The next LDC Meeting will be held on Monday 22nd July 2024 (6.30pm) at Chelmsford Golf Club.Soup and sandwiches + tea and coffee will be provided.This will be an important meeting as the ICB Leads for Essex have been invited to give us an update of the new government's approach to dental commissioning.Online access is available and have been shared via e-mail.

Have your say – DDRB 2024/25 pay uplift 

The BDA would be grateful for your help promoting a survey to support the BDA’s evidence submission to the DDRB.The email below from Ella Buckland (BDA Research Analyst; 020 7563 4157) sets out how you can help.

Building an NHS fit for the future is a key priority for the newly-elected Government, and following the recent General Election, this year’s pay round is more important than ever, we need to make the case for appropriate uplifts on pay and contract expenses on your behalf. 

As part of the evidence gathering process for the BDA’s evidence submission to the DDRB, all BDA members in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and a sample of members from England, will have recently received an email inviting them to take part in a short GDP survey. 

Please check your inbox and junk folder, and if you have received an email with the subject ‘Have your say! – DDRB 2024/25 pay uplift’, please could you spare 10 minutes to complete the survey, as the responses are vital to our ability to submit robust arguments and evidence to the DDRB on issues of pay, recruitment, retention, motivation and morale. 

It takes just 10-15 minutes to complete, and members who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 voucher.

Any assistance you could also provide by sharing this message with members of your committees and colleagues would help us to achieve the best possible response rate and would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or would like more information about this research, please contact the Research Team at research@bda.org

Mandatory requirement: Update your NHS Profile every Quarter                                 

(Message from MSE ICB)Further to our previous email in relation to the Contractual obligation to ensure your NHS Profile information (every section) on the NHS.uk Directory of Services is updated/confirmed each quarter, even if no changes have occurred. We have been supplied a list of all practices in Mid and South Essex who have not provided an update to every section of their NHS Profile in the quarter ending 30 June 2024. You need to update or confirm your profile information every quarter (even if there are no changes) for each of the following sections:  

• accepting new NHS patients 

• contact details 

• opening times 

• services 

• facilities
