Message from BSA regarding Changes to Systems
Access to the new Dental Services Portal, which includes your monthly pay statement and NHS Pensions information, depends on having the right email address on Compass. NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) requested you check your primary email address in Compass by 11:59pm Friday 28 August 2026. You can read the previous email in full and find guidance on how to update your primary email address in Compass which will be used to invite you to register for the NHS Dental Services Portal, and to send you other important information in future. If your email address in Compass is outdated, shared, or different from the one you plan to use for the NHS Dental Services Portal and GOV.UK One Login, this may delay or prevent your access to the new system. This includes important information, such as: 1. your monthly pay statement 2. your NHS Pensions information 3. critical communications about the NHS Dental Services Portal Shared inboxes Compass needs an individual email address for two reasons: 1. Security: The new portal uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) to keep your information safe - when you log in, you’ll need to enter a code sent to your mobile device. (Shared mailboxes don’t work with MFA as they don’t belong to one person, and are not linked to one person’s phone.) 2. Access: Once the new NHS Dental Services Portal goes live, users of shared mailboxes will lose access to it. This includes access to your monthly pay statements and NHS Pensions information. ______________________________________________________________ BDA Updates A new minister must face down old problems James Frith needs to show real urgency and ambition, for all corners of the profession. Facts over myths: Tackling migration and the crisis in dentistry Restore Britain’s Rupert Lowe MP, told the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that migrants “go to the top of the waiting list for dental treatment, which British people don't get.” A chance to streamline record keeping in your practice We finally have the chance of a more commonsense model of record keeping in practices, to draw a line under ‘note bloat.’ ______________________________________________________________ Kind regards, Clint Foreman (Asst.
