Still awaiting guidance over ‘Standards for |Better Oral Health’ box which should be ticked upon completion of a COT but what is the minimum that should be done in a COT to be able to legitimately tick this box
Do dental nurses need indemnity to work in their normal scope of practice and what additional indemnity do they need for application of fluoride.

Challenges for the GDPC 2012-2014
Workforce – a increase in workforce with a reduction in the need for dentists fuelled by the workings of the new contract (reliance on more DCPs andless on dentists) , increase in retirement age (68), increase in the production of home grown dentists, more female and ethnically diverse dentists and continued influx of EU dentists.

The EoE part of the new clustered Central StHA have 11 pledges on performance management – pledge 3 is that “we will ensure GP practices improve access and become more responsive to the needs of patients”
pledge 4 is that “we will ensure that NHS primary dental services are available locally to all who need them”.
